National Accident Helpline's policy against cold calling and cold texting

It's come to our attention that unfortunately, some people have received cold calls or cold texts from people claiming to be associated with National Accident Helpline.

National Accident Helpline never cold calls or cold texts anyone. This is an important part of our business ethics - we only help genuine claimants, we never cold call or cold text anyone, and if you do make a personal injury claim with us, we never give any of your personal details to other organisations unless you tell us we can.

We take a firm stance against cold calling and cold texting and report offenders to the relevant authorities as a matter of urgency. If you receive cold calls or cold texts from someone claiming to be National Accident Helpline, we would ask you to send details including the phone number used (if not withheld), the times and dates of calls, the frequency of calls, and anything else you think relevant to feedback@nahl.co.uk.

1. Sending an initial letter to the other side

This is called a 'Letter of Claim' - it explains that you intend to claim for your injuries which were caused by their fault.

2. Collecting medical evidence

Your solicitor will collect medical evidence from your doctors or hospital records, they may also set up a new medical assessment on your behalf.

3. Making a list of your losses

Once the evidence is collected, they will put together a list of all the financial losses you intend to claim for, called a 'Schedule of Losses'.

4. Sending a letter to the other side, asking them to pay

This letter will include the list of losses you have suffered. Following this, the other side will need to dispute your claim or accept responsibility and pay the compensation.
